Did you know an average American cannot afford a home? 3.8 Million single family
homes are needed right now in the US. There is a severe shortage of affordable
housing for the lowest income renters. The U.S. has a shortage of 6.8 million rental
homes affordable and available to extremely low-income renters. Only 37 affordable and
available rental homes exist for every 100 extremely low-income renter households.

Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law. When you itemize your deductions, you may be able to deduct charitable contributions of money or property made to qualified organizations (such as L’Amour Homes). Only donations actually made before the close of the tax year would be eligible.

What will my donation be used for?
Your donation is incredibly valuable. Building one house is no easy feat, neither is building one that is affordable. Your support will help us launch our mission, hire contractors to build, plan and acquire building materials, along with whatever else is needed to achieve the goal of constructing hundreds of affordable homes that are well, beautiful.
According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, the U.S. has a shortage of 6.8 million rental homes affordable and available to extremely low-income renters, whose household incomes are at or below the poverty guideline or 30% of their area median income. Only 37 affordable and available rental homes exist for every 100 extremely low-income renter households. Extremely low-income renters face a shortage in every state and major metropolitan area, including the District of Columbia.
